Air Pacific Selects Pratt & Whitney for Exclusive Maintenance Agreement
Fiji-based Air Pacific Limited has selected Pratt & Whitney for an exclusive, five-year deal to maintain the airline’s fleet of Pratt & Whitney PW4056 engines. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp.
“Having a multi-year agreement allows us to better forecast our costs,” stated Glen Brabant, executive general manager, Operations and Services, Air Pacific. “We have a good relationship with Eagle Services Asia where the work will be performed to help us meet our company’s objective of great work quality at competitive and efficient cost, and yet similarly share our philosophy of high standards of safety and reliability.”
Fiji’s international airline, Air Pacific Limited, operates international and domestic services around the Pacific and to North America and Hong Kong.
“Having world-class shops close to customers like Air Pacific helps to reduce time and cost related to overhauls,” said Tom Mayes, vice president, Pratt & Whitney Global Engine Center. “PW4000 engines continue to be an important part of Asia-Pacific travel routes.”
